When traveling, finding a good hostel is part of the adventure, right? But how do you find the ‘perfect’ place?
One of the trips I took while in Cambodia was an organized tour to the Kulen Mountain, the river of the 1000 Lingas and nearby waterfalls.
When you want to explore Cambodia, there is no way around the temples of Angkor. The city that sits right next to this UNESCO world heritage site is Siem Reap. And its airport is conveniently connected to many cities in Southeast Asia.
Who hasn’t been in this situation. You are trying to find the cheapest flight to somewhere. You go to your trusted flight search engine or app and find a reasonable price. Getting slightly excited, you click on it, then… 18h stopover at…, well definitely somewhere you weren’t planning to go.
Apo Island is a tiny island in the Philippines, south of Negros Island. I had never heard of it until I started my diving trip in Bohol, Philippines. I went for a few dives in Alona and on Balicasag island and initially planned to move on to Puerto Galera, then Coron. But when I asked other divers and the local dive masters about the “best diving spot in the Philippines”, “Apo island” was almost always one of their first replies.
Bohol is one of the provinces in the central Visaya’s region. It comprises Bohol island and many smaller surrounding islands.
